The Two week Intensive Master Certificate is Voice Central’s Flagship Course and is designed for the performer who is looking to hone his or her vocal skills in the different genres of contemporary music. The course offers a comprehensive mix of practical, skills based teaching as well as top level, up to the minute industry advice. The Course runs for two consecutive weeks, Monday to Friday and from 10am to 6pm. Listed below are the subjects covered on the course. Voice ProductionLauren Field is a vocal coach with 20 years teaching experience. She will give a one hour Voice Production class every day throughout the course covering breathing techniques, voice placement, vocal warm-ups and stylistic add-ons, making sure that every student discovers their vocal potential and builds a healthy relationship with their own instrument.Singing Styles and Stage TechniquesTwo hour classes during the first week, covering contemporary singing styles. Students will have a choice of songs within a given genre to learn and perform. Guidance will be given to enhance authentic delivery within the genre. Styles covered on the course: Pop, RnB, Soul, Country, Blues and Jazz. This class will aid the students in making their song choices for recording in the second week.EnsembleGroup singing and backing vocals to the songs covered in the Styles classes, encompassing an ensemble workshop in the last week bringing everyone together in blissful, joyous and resonant harmony.Studio TechnologyStudents will learn their way around a recording studio and be given the basics in the latest technology in our own recording studio.Studio RecordingStudents will record a song of their choice for which they will be prepped and routined and will have a CD to take away at the end of the course.Song WritingA fascinating and insightful module for students who write, want to write or even for those who have never thought about writing! Listening, discussion and practice in song writing techniques.Guest SpeakersVoice Central has long standing and far reaching connections within the music industry and has invited a host of experienced and influential movers and shakers from different areas of the business to come in and share their expertise with the students. There will be talks on: The Music Business – Getting Started, Marketing and PR, Styling, Gigs, Management and Booking Agents.GraduationStudents completing the two week course will receive a Voice Central Master Course Certificate and a professional CD studio recording of their performance on a chosen song. |
